About YMCA Shops

For the first time in Kosovo, the Charity Shops / YMCA Shops opened in Gjakova in September 2014. This project is financially supported by Y's Men International based in Switzerland and technically supported by YMCA England and Y's Men Denmark.

The Charity Shop / YMCA Shop is built on and based on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) specifically SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Change). Since 2014, the charity shop has proven to be self-sustainable,. Which has helped in creating new jobs, offering opportunities for volunteer work as well as scholarships for students.

In Charity Shops/ YMCA Shops, recyclable products are sold in order to protect the environment and raise funds for youth employment.
